Regular Updates

CheckAud® for SAP® Systems is updated semi-annually to conform to the most recent SAP® release.

In addition to the necessary release updates, new performance enhancing functionality is regularly added.

A Look at Version 4.0

Evaluation of Java Stack Authorizations

The SAP Java authorizations that will be implemented with the UME (User Management Engine), as well as the corresponding parameters (interface users for the SAP system, login attributes for UME, etc.) are selected. Full evaluations can be completed for these authorizations, like those for the ABAP Stack authorizations.
This is the first step in completing an analysis of authorizations from the SAP Java Stack. In the next CheckAud version, the following options will be fully operational:

Step 2: Selection from the Portal Content Directory:
Selection and display in tree structure
Evaluation of rights (SAP ABAP Stack) in combination with PCD / UME

Step 3: Evaluation of rights (LDAP; e.g. Windows ADS) in combination with PCD / UME

CheckAud® Product Family - Without Borders

Our products CheckAud® for SAP® Systems and CheckAud® for Windows® Networks are issued together to help you complete cross-system evaluations of authorizations. For a cross-system evaluation of these access rights/authorizations:

  • SAP ABAP stack authorizations
  • SAP Java stack authorizations (SAP EP / SAP UME)
  • Windows ADS- and NTFS authorizations

This version will also be equipped for:

  • UNIX authorizations
  • Oracle authorizations

Requests may be formulated based on the following questions:

  • Who has access to the data of an SAP HCM using the ABAP stack, the Portal, the database or the operating system?
  • Who has access rights to specific Windows directories with an SAP Portal?

In the systems that follow, the functions of CheckAud® for Hard- and Software will be fully integrated.
With Version 4.0 authorizations will be evaluated and monitored along the way using system boundaries.

Integration of new Reporting Components

All results from a complete evaluation will be displayed in matrix form in MS Excel.

All users that appear in the results of the overall check will be listed individually, one user per line. All corresponding authorizations that have been evaluated are listed in columns. To indicate which authorizations are available to which users, an X will written in at the points of intersection.

It is still possible to customize a column to show select user details.

Incorporation of a New Reporting Component

The RTF component used until now will be removed with the integration of a new reporting component. This new component guarantees higher flexibility in reports and will provide new reporting functions.
